Cake with nuts and honey
ingredients:
For the cake
- 125 walnuts Gr
- Honey 50Gr
- 45gr soft butter
- 10g flour
- 2 eggs
- The zest of ½ lemon
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- ½ CAC. baking powder
- 1 large pinch of cinnamon powder
- 1 pinch of salt
For the syrup
- Honey 90Gr
- 2 bedroom. lemon juice
preparation:
Reduce walnuts to a coarse powder. Book.
Separate the egg whites from the yolks.
In a bowl, beat the yolks with the soft butter then add honey, cinnamon, zest and lemon juice.
Stir in flour and baking powder and finish by adding the walnut powder.
Stir until mixture is smooth ..
Preheat oven to 150 ° C.
Mount the egg whites with a pinch of salt and fold into walnut mixture.
Pour batter into a 20cm diameter mold (buttered and floured if it is not silicone) and bake for about 35 minutes.
Allow the cake to cool 10 minutes in the mold before the demoulding and then let cool completely at room temperature.
If you prefer cold, place a few hours in the refrigerator.
Before serving, heat the remaining 90Gr honey with 2 teaspoons of lemon juice and mix well.
Prick lightly the surface of the cake with a fork and pour over the warm honey.
He must enter the cake, for that, you can help a spatula for example.
