                                                       Date Squares and walnuts





                                                                              







ingredients :

150g finely chopped dates
130g finely chopped nuts
1/3 cup brown sugar
3 eggs, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon to
1/3 cup oil
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1+ 1/2 cooked sifted baking powder
1+ 1/2 cup sifted flour
Cooked 1 tablespoon sugar
1 pinch of salt




Preparation :

1. Preheat oven to 180 ° C. Butter and line with parchment paper square pan 20 cm.

2. Mix 3/4 of nuts contained in the cup, dates and brown sugar. Add eggs, oil, yogurt, flour, yeast and salt. Mix 2 minutes with a wooden spoon until smooth.

3. Pour into prepared pan and smooth top. Combine sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle the cake and add the remaining walnuts.

4. Bake for 35 minutes until a toothpick stuck into the dough comes out clean. Let rest

5 minutes in the pan before putting to cool on a rack. Cut into squares and serve.
